Just about every car I’ve had has had some sort of toxic subculture attached to it.
Old muscle cars? “Fuckin pussies driving god damn jap cars! AMERICAN MUSCLE! *beats chest*”
Domestic Trucks? “Fuckin pussies driving god damn jap cars! DIESEL! *spews soot everywhere*”
Subarus? “Yeah bro I was doing a sick drift while vaping at about 120 but the AWD just hooked up and pulled me through bro! You got any monster bro? *vapes conspicuously*”
BMWs? “I leased a base model 328i which means I’M BETTER THAN YOU NOW GET ME A FUCKING MANAGER! *xanax’s*”
Audi? “I drive a mid-tier sport sedan but act like I’m the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. *fails to signal*”
Tacoma? “I challenge everyone that talks to me to a fight because that’s the only skill I’ve aquired in my 28 years on this earth. Also my truck is custom with the same mods as everyone else. *spits tobacco*”
Focus ST gets a pass because I basically gave up on owner’s groups after the S4. I’ve literally never met another.
BRZ: Basically the subaru bro except in a slower car. Still tries to race everyone.

I have met multiple people who just would not shut up about how their smarts are so much better a choice than the massive, lumbering, planet killing cars everyone else buys. There are people out there who think smarts are cool. Is that toxic enough for you?

That’s part of the reason I’m interested in the Subaru SVX. It’s one of very few fast Japanese cars to not come with that F&F boy racer image.

At least they are spending $800 on coilovers. In the Scion groups there’s this utterly terribly company called Raceland (and their twin company Rokkor) that makes $300 coilovers. They’re terrible and yet people flock to them because cheapass.

Oh, I’m well aware. haha I own an FR-S. It’s a shame how many people throw crap suspension on their cars. The worst thing, is that most of those $800 coilovers are pretty much the same product as the $300 ones.

Eh, my F&F2s in my tC1 are way better than another guy’s Racelands in his tC1.
Most of the $800+ ones have dampening control where as the Raceland/Rokkors are only height adjustable.
